THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "NATURAL" AND "ORGANIC" IN SKINCARE
Manufacturers often use the term “natural” on the packaging of their skincare products if a small percentage of the product is of natural origin. For example, a single drop of olive oil turns something into a product that says “with natural ingredients” while that drop of natural olive oil is swimming in liquid paraffin. Good for your skin? We don’t think so.
WHY IS NATURAL SKINCARE BETTER?
It is preferable to use organic ingredients in products because they are grown cleanly, without fertilisers and pesticides that can sometimes end up in the extracts of a plant (often the oil) and thus in your product.
CAN NATURAL SKINCARE CAUSE PURGING?
Yes, but this is a good thing! As you switch from unnatural, artificial skincare products, your skin will obviously react to this. You may experience very dry skin or even acne. This is because your skin is going through withdrawal symptoms from the absence of a product that contains an addictive unnatural substance, such as paraffin. After a few weeks, your skin will return to it's natural state. THE BEST ORGANIC SKINCARE PRODUCTS
We believe that you should thoroughly research what you're putting on your face, either by asking the manufacturers themselves or going through a product's ingredient list - then you will know how clean, natural or organic it really is. Try to find products which do not have any artificial ingredients such as silicone bases, which can clog your pores and cause irritation or acne.
Our Witlof Skincare products are 100% vegan and natural, and all or part of those natural ingredients are from an organic origin. You can always read more about every single ingredient we put in our products in our 'ingredients' tab, next to our product descriptions.
