Meet our Witlover Tamara Brinkman!
Tamara is an actress, but also voice-over and radio and television presenter. She is known for her role in 'On the way to tomorrow' and can be seen daily in 'Good Times Bad Times'.
Of course we could not wait to interview her and talked to Tamara about her search for the right skin care for her sensitive skin and her great interest in ingredients of care products.
What is your typical skin care routine?
In the evening I was my face with the Cleansing Milk. Then I spray the Balancing Toner. I find that wonderfully refreshing. Then I massage it Regenerating Oil Serum in. It is nicely swallowed by my skin. I immediately massage my face. That goes very well with the serum. Finally, I use the Rich Facial Cream. In the morning I have the same routine, except that I clean my face with water instead of the cleansing milk.
What are some challenges or uncertainties in the field of skin care that you have had to deal with?
I have fine skin in itself, but she is a bit sensitive. I also suffer from rosacea. My skin can easily turn red from heavily perfumed products.
When I started playing at Goede Tijden, I got more bothered by my skin. I also wore more makeup and got red spots.
I have been looking for fine products for a long time. The beautician once presents me odorless products. But that didn't make me happy either. They smell so musty. During Good Times I then used the sponsored products. But they were certainly not good.
How important is clean and sustainable skin care for you?
I think that is very important. There are microplastics in many products. They are super striking for the environment and it simply makes no sense. That really makes me furious. In addition, your skin is your largest organ. Everything you put on your face is absorbed by your skin. You do not want any harmful ingredients to that.
Do you delve into the ingredients of products before you buy them? And if so, how?
Yes, I certainly delve into. I no longer know exactly how that started. I think a friend of mine. She arrived with a book. And then I saw a program on TV. I wanted to know better what I was smearing on my face. I did a lot of research for a while. But I also found it difficult to buy products. I was almost discouraged because I knew too much. I have been in a confusing phase for a long time where I tried anything and everything. That was also during Good Times. But what I used then just didn't like my skin.
What is a product that you can't do without?
It Regenerating Oil Serum I like the best. With that I can immediately massage my face. The Balancing Toner I also really like it. This is a product that I didn't know I needed. I think I use way too much, but it feels so nice and fresh! I really get the feeling that it brings my face back to the right pH value, something that I really knew nothing about this at all!
Do you have tips or tricks for skin care?
I had such a blue bottle (which everyone knows) to pick up my makeup. And that always worked well. But then Caroline said that it was pretty tough stuff. It contains a lot of alcohol. And you must be careful with the thinner skin under your eyes. So now I use the Cleansing Milk To clean my eyes too. And alone, if I really have very stubborn mascara, I still use the blue bottle. But always afterwards the Cleansing Milk, to alleviate it!
What do you think of the products of Witlof Skincare and which are your favorite?
I think the products are super fine. Very soft, subtle and natural. And I have a good routine. It makes me very happy.
