Suzanne Verberk is a professional makeup artist for Vogue and Glamor, among others. She uses chicory skincare in her work, for herself and her 13 year old daughter uses chicory too.
Natural Skincare is getting bigger and changes from a niche segment to more mainstream. What do you think of this?
Very good of course, everything we use on skincare and care ends up in the water again, so the more natural the products we use, the less burdensome for the environment. In addition, it is also better for the skin and your body.
How do you use chicory skincare in your work as a makeup artist? And what is your experience?
I mix the Nourishing Facial Cream with the Balancing Toner, in this way I can massage the face of the model well and the skin is well -mosisturized before I start with the makeup.
Do you also use chicory skincare for yourself? And what are your favorite products and why?
For myself I use the Cleansing Mousse, unfortunately not on the models because washing is difficult, my skin becomes very fresh and soft.
You also have a 13 year old daughter with a restless skin. She started using chicory. What is your/ her experience?
She uses it for a month now, she uses the cleansing mousse and the toner, her skin is better hydrated, she is of course a teenager so it is still a bit restless, but less and better hydrated. Her skin has certainly been refurbished.
What do you choose?
Rapid effect or Slow (but sustainable) improvement
Sustainable, rapid improvement is often also due to additions that you may not want at all.
Cleansing Milk or Cleansing Mousse
For models, Cleansing Milk is more convenient, but for home mousse.
Recycled plastic packaging or Glass packaging
Glass packaging is often heavier and fragile. So I still choose plastic, as long as it is as sustainable as possible.
